Iran has banned sterilization in a [ campaign to pressure people to have more children ]( http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/11/iran-ban-permanent-contraception-population-growth ) . It will fall most heavily on those who can't afford to travel abroad for an operation. I can understand that people would not want to have children in Iran. What if they are daughters?
