The NFL punishes players [ more severely for smoking pot than for domestic violence ]( http://www.motherjones.com/mixed-media/2014/07/ray-rice-suspension-marijuana ) . I don't see why the NFL has any business punishing a player for using pot. Using a performance-enhancing drug might be considered cheating, but that doesn't apply to pot.
