ISIS [ gets its funding from US "allies" ]( http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/06/14/america-s-allies-are-funding-isis.html ) : Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. This seems to have been going on for longer than the article says: it seems that some of them were behind the start of the armed uprising in Syria, back when Syrians where still holding nonviolent protests for democracy.
