Louisiana plans a megaproject to reclaim some of the [ 2000 square miles lost to the sea in the last century ]( http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/oct/14/lost-louisiana-the-race-to-reclaim-vanished-land-back-from-the-sea ) . In principle, it is a good idea, but it will be futile if we don't stop pumping out the greenhouse gases that melt icecaps and raise sea level even more.
