The US [ rebuked Israel ]( http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/01/us-criticises-israel-appropriation-land-settlements ) for seizing Palestinian land near Bethlehem. Israel admits that this seizure of land is meant as a collective punishment of Palestinians for a crime they have nothing to do with.
