The UK National Health Service is so underfunded that it is [ paying staff poverty wages ]( http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/oct/12/nhs-staff-why-we-are-striking ) . The NHS needs a lot more money, and it needs to come from the rich (including businesses). However, making housing cheaper would help the workers get by; that too depends on increasing taxes on the homes of the rich.
