Syria says it
is <a href="http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/14/uk-policy-supporting-anti-assad-syria-rebels-called-stupid">stupid
to support the rebels and calls for the UK to support Assad</a>. The sad thing is, that is true. When the main Syrian rebel
groups <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/26/world/middleeast/syria-crisis.html?ref=world&_r=0">joined
with the Islamists</a>, they became enemies of human rights just as
much as Assad is. Here's an article
that <a href="http://consortiumnews.com/2013/09/26/syrian-rebels-embrace-al-qaeda/">argues
that Israel and Saudi Arabia have promoted the violent rebellion in
Syria</a>, even as far as directly supporting jihadis. I wonder if Israel supports ISIS too.
